On May 14th, 2014 ROBLOX released Builder's Club which costs 7.99 a month and required players to have it to use in place of the credits system. They later made improvements to the Builder's Club and decided to offer it for free in 2016. On April 25th, 2016, the ROBLOX website was updated to version 2.0. On September 28th 2016, the ROBLOX website was updated to version 3.0 and it had a new design with new features.

The CEO of Roblox is David Baszucki, also known as "Devdog". He made his first 1 million by using a stock option from a company that he had worked at called Original Media. He was fired from the company for not coming up with any new products despite having achieved success in the existing ones. After this, he started to work on ROBLOX alongside his friend Owen Hill. Although Roblox was founded only in 2009, they had already made their first 1 million by 2013.

Roblox has also been accused of terminating its staff whenever they speak out against the company's policies and poor work environment. This is mainly done to avoid negative media attention which would impact their business.

No microtransactions. Roblox does not have any ingame purchases or microtransactions, meaning that you can play as much as you want without worrying about being charged each time. This works very well as the developers have a different way to monetize their system which we'll discuss further on into this review.

There are also people who scam other players by selling items with prices they can't get for items that aren't worth much at all when you try to sell them. I once had someone scam me because of that. They told me their account was hacked and that they could fix it for me if I give them one of my item. So I gave them one and they scammed me. Another problem is when people are posting comments and other players comment back at them about it. There is a lot of spamming going on, but the worst part is there is a lot of inappropriate content that is being made like adult themes, swearing, and inappropriate skins.
